Andre Conlledo
When I export a file to AutoCAD from formZ 8.5 beta I get multiple lines. At first glance it's unnoticeable but if I zoom in to a corner of any drawing I can see the problem. AutoCAD doesn't like this. The export from formZ 8 is clean and produces accurate drawings. Tech
Hi Andre, We have run a number of tests and are not reproducing this. Can you please send a file where this happens for you so we can test with your file?
Andre Conlledo
It happens on any file... even a simple cube. Would you like me to mail it to Support@formz.com?
Tech
Hi Andre, With just a simple cube, you can just zip it and use the More Reply Options below to attach the file to your post. Do you have the problem importing this file with a cube? Untitled2.zip Are you using the Export, or Export Image function? And what Export Options are you trying to use? Andre Conlledo
This is really bizarre. I imported your cube and modeled a few more. Then I exported the image to DWG and opened it in AutoCAD. Your cube seems fine. The ones I modeled using the rectangle draw tool with the 3D extrusion option ON didn't export well. formZ8-5test.zip
Andre Conlledo
Yes I was using export image to DWG with hidden line on.
Tech
Hi Andre, There is not currently an option to eliminate duplicate lines with the Hidden Line: Export Image: DWG command, but if you get a New Layout Project, draw a Layout Frame, select your file / view, and Export DWG from there, that should do the trick. Does that help?
Andre Conlledo
I get the same problem via Layout Project. It's the same result as the file I uploaded before with your cube exporting properly and the ones I modeled getting double or triple lines. Tech
Hi Andre, Your DWG file in the ZIP archive above is not showing any issues for us when importing back into formZ, or opening in Autocad. Is that file showing the problem for you, and if not, can you post one that does?
Andre Conlledo
Yes that file I uploaded has the problem. I just downloaded it to make sure. You need to zoom in (zoom in a lot!). Just get close to one of the corners and you'll find the double/triple lines.
Andre Conlledo
Were you able to see the double lines?
Tech
Hi Andre, Thanks for your report, this should be solved with the latest beta update.
