Donald Wardlaw
This is very frustrating. My file does not allow object snapping any more. I quit and relaunched, no change. I can start a new file and snaps work fine. Below is what I see in my file. I can have object snaps on, and draw an object off a corner, and it doesn't grab the corner and I don't see a red dot. From a distance it looks like I may have snapped, but zoom in and things are not aligned. What is happening? screen.tiff
Donald Wardlaw
I maybe see a workaround. I'm using a wacom tablet. It seems that if I put the cursor on the vertex and just drag out the new object it won't grab the vertex. If I press and hold on the object for a moment before I drag out the object, it will make the connection. The behavior is still different from a new, fairly empty file. In the new file all I have to do is hover and I see the red dot. In my working file I only see the red dot after I click on the vertex, wait, and then draw out the object. When I begin to draw out the object I see the red dot. Donald
Tech
Hi Donald, Check your Layers Palette -- you have disabled the Snapping (green dot) for all of the layers...R Right click in that column and choose All Snapable to restore the snapping... Donald Wardlaw
Thank you! I don't know how that happened. Donald
