Thorsten
hello, sorry, but i need some help to move content in a layout frame. i try to do it with the move tool, but when i do so, it moves only lines of the drawing, but not the content... thanks for your help, thorsten
Thorsten
another question: can i snap to the sheet and frame border ? it would be helpful when i copy a frame from sheet_1 to sheet_2 - so it would be placed exactly like the frame on sheet_1
Tech
Hi Thorsten, To move everything in a Layout Frame, just select it before moving. (If necessary, you can frame pick the whole layout frame, and then Shift Deselect the frame itself.) Borders do not currently snap, but sounds like a reasonable suggestion, we will see if this can be added.
Thorsten
ok, thanks. there was the "unlock groups" option activated, so i couldn't move the whole drawing but only single objects. after deactivating this option it is working now like expected. Thorsten
it would also helpful to have the option to make the invisible content outside of the frame visible and snapable in some way... in my case i want to move floorplan +1 exactly over floorplan +2 on the second sheet. If i could see and snap this invisible floorplan, i could move it easily to the reference point of floorplan +1.
etroxel
Something related that would be extremely helpful is to take a que from SketchUp Layout 2015 (and probably earlier versions as well) where each layer has a button to display its contents on every page. This is similar to InDesign's master pages, but takes it to a CAD-like level. I'd love to see something like this for title blocks, borders, guide lines, grids, etc.

The Serif range of software has had them for years and are very effective, more versatile than relying on pre-prepared template files for adding potentially repetitive content to pages.
