AsOne
How do I resize the palette dock if the controls have slipped off my monitor? This happens with my Layer palette (far too often) which is off the Palette dock, but I can put it back in the Palette dock to resize it. However, there seems to be no way to find the palette dock controls anymore. Version 7, Mac OS 10.9.
Tech
Hi Paul, Sorry you are having trouble. This issue could potentially occur on some systems if you are adding or removing monitors, or changing their resolutions while formZ is running. (Quitting formZ before doing this should work around that until you upgrade to formZ v8, where this should be corrected.) If you find any other way to do this, please let us know so we can prevent it from occurring. To fix this, drag another palette on top of this palette, then hold down the Option key (Mac) or Ctrl Shift keys (Win) and you can drag both palettes together. Does this help you retrieve the palette? ---------- Another way to solve this would be to reset formZ to factory defaults. You can do this by Quitting formZ and renaming the autodessys folder. (Just add an X to the end of the name of the folder.) On Windows, this is located in C:\users\[uSER]\AppData\Roaming\ (Note that [uSER] is the name with which you log onto your computer, and if you don't see the App Data folder, you can show this by going to the Windows Explorer: Tools Menu: Folder Options: View Tab -- and choosing Show Hidden Files, and clicking OK.) On a Mac, this is located in HOME: Library: Preferences. (Note that HOME refers to Hard Drive: Users: your login name, and if you don't see a Library folder in this location, you can access it by going to the Finder: Go Menu, holding down the Option key -- and it will appear below HOME.) Don't forget to quit formZ first, and when you relaunch formZ it will automatically recreate a new autodessys folder with default settings. Then if you decide you no longer need the old autodessysX folder, you can delete that at any time. Does this help?
AsOne
Trick #1 did not work. It moved but not up at the bottom. If I do the reset to factory defaults...which of the following will I need to do (if any): rebuild my Workspace, add my Key shortcuts back, reset my preferences, reload my favorites bar, reset my template location? Tech
Hi Paul, If you move it up and over so you can get to the lower right corner, can you then make it smaller and drag it back down? If not, via Edit: Preferences and Edit: Key Shortcuts, you can save a Preference and Key Shortcut file respectively. Then after you quit and rename the autodessys folder, you can reload these, but the problem is in the Workspaces, so those would need to be recreated. When you have the Workspaces as you would like them, you can also save a Workspace file via the Workspace Menu: Workspace Manager, so that can be reloaded in the future if you like. AsOne
I can't move it up anymore and the lower right corner is out of view. I will rebuild the workspace if I can get to it.

Tech
Hi Paul, Yes, another option is to place a second palette on top of the Palette Dock, hold down the Option key, and drag both palettes together... Does that help?
AsOne
yes tried that to no avail. since my dock is at the top of the monitor already and stretches all the way below the bottom of the screen nothing can move it any higher. it is fine for now. i will move to v8 soon hopefully and rebuild the workspace there.
