jeffgrune
I made some mixed-topography objects into reference objects, since FormZ doesn't allow mixing of solids and surfaces in Joined objects anymore. The alert says they can't be keyframed when I try to do that The manual says "the resulting object is not a real object and is not accepted by most operations", which also includes animation. I want to un-reference them and make them into objects that can be joined into one object that can be keyframed. How is that done?

Tech
Hi Jeff, Yes, as Petter notes, just Separate them (from the same tool row as Make Reference…)
jeffgrune
Nothing in the manual about that.
jeffgrune
Reference objects can't be animated. The group of solids and surfaces can't be animated, so I derived faces from everything on the object and joined them, so it's a joined object of surfaces. That seems to work.
