jeffgrune
Earlier versions of formZ had a Copy From… option with materials, lights and views where you could copy settings from other files. What happened to that? I wanted to import cameras and lights from another file and couldn't find that option in the palettes.
Tech
Hi Jeff, There is a Copy Attributes tool whereby you can select all the objects to which you wish to apply attributes, get the Copy Attributes tool, and then click on the object whose attributes you wish to copy. The Get Attributes tool is a little different, and we are working on restoring that. To load lights, views, materials, etc into a new project, open the file to which you want to add the items, use the File: Open command, check the Add to Project checkbox from the lower left, and then "open" the file from which you wish to add the items. You will then get a dialog that allows you to choose any or all of the parts of the file that can be added.
setz
Regarding the reintroduction of the Get/Set Attributes tools please include topological awareness so that attributes of individual faces can be copied and then applied as needed.
