    Dansani

From the album: Vecht & Kjær Industrial Design

Being responsible for all product designs for Danish bathroom producer Dansani A/S throughout a decade, Vecht & Kjær makes extensive use of visualisation in the process of developing new products. All new ideas are initially visualized in form•Z in context to secure a proper integration in the product palette. Later in the process, these renderings also help the different suppliers understand the look and feel of the not yet realized product, helping them do a better job.

From the album: University of New Mexico

"Modulation+Mutations II" The exponential growth of digital information and continual expansion of new technologies has had a profound effect on the manner by which architects create space. Designers are now incorporating new methodologies that borrow from the automotive, aeronautical and cinematic professions. This multidisciplinary approach is challenging the traditional approach to the practice of architecture. As a result a new studio environment must be established to enable young designers to engage in these new processes. This studio will aim to explore this continuingly evolving condition where extraction of space is no longer statically derived. It will rather define a more interactive model that is based on social forces defined through contextual specificity.

    "The Periscope is a Viewfinder"

From the album: Texas Tech University

Lindsay Kunz "The Periscope is a Viewfinder" periscope - noun “an optical instrument for viewing objects that are above the level of direct sight or in an otherwise obstructed field of vision...” The periscope is a viewfinder. Scenes are constructed through careful examination of spaces bound by both solid masses and their consequent shadows and reflections. The resulting views are seemingly architectural, defined by structure that is simultaneously real and perceived. The periscope allows views to be established from apparently hidden places. Focus is placed on the interaction of detailed elements and the site that grounds them. The periscope in this sense becomes an instrument for discovering architectural spaces where architecture may not truly exist.
