    formZ folder in Documents...

Agreed. I HATE installers that add folders to MY system; especially on macOS, where there is a specific Application Support folder explicitly for this purpose.

Hi snow - when the developers read posts like yours and Justin's, they may come away with the impression that users don't find the Object palette useful; I just want them to hear an alternative viewpoint.

Antivote. I find the ability to organize geometry by both Layer and Object to be one of FormZ BEST and most useful features. Removing the option to use the Objects palette would be like removing an arm.

    FormZ Free for Windows Questions

Please don't. Adobe itself is deprecating Flash. It is horrible, buggy, dangerous malware. HTML5 is the way to go.

    FormZ 9 wish list...

    - Why does renaming objects involve two slow clicks, and then a two second delay before the object becomes editable (standard double click and contextual right clight would be so much better) This one drives me nucking futs as well.

    FormZ 9 wish list...

SHEET. METAL. TOOLS. Including the ability to unfold 3d objects - not break them apart into their component faces. Edge flanges. Hems. Weld beads in 3d that are annotated in Layout automatically. Any way at all to give geometry a given thickness and keep it throughout bending/unbending/cutting/forming. Nesting of 2d geometry derived from 3d objects (for laser or water jet cutting). McMaster-Carr integration - just like those fools at Autodesk have done in Fusion 360. More real-time, in-viewport rendering options (hidden line, artistic, blueprint) - like those other fools at McNeel have in Rhino. Holes for real-world fasteners that update in accordance with changes to the fastener. I could go on for hours. BUT I also realize that my particular needs aren't everyone's - wish lists always seem like a bunch of kids screaming for their particular favorite flavor of ice cream.

    Invert Selection

I suspected as much, but didn't have time to test. This would, indeed, be handy.

    Invert Selection

With objects, you can use the Objects palette and click on the Selected column header (the red check mark at the top) to invert your selection - not sure if it works with control points, though.

    Offset line

Paul - you're right, Shift-selecting your segments in side views works, but the command then fails to offset them. Most definitely a bug.

Evan - Have you tried Shift-selecting your segments?

    .fml double click error

Your alternate method outlined above (R-click, Option key, choose Always Opens With) worked. Doing it via the Get Info window doesn't - after clicking "Change All..." and clicking "continue" in the popup dialog, the dropdown menu reverts to the original dropdown selection - in this case, formZ 8.0. Vector Output helps a lot - but i'd like the option to scale the PDF upon export (like I can in Solidworks) to 150 or even 300dpi. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I was able to get the .fml files to register properly, but setting formZ 8.5 as the default, no matter how I try it, does not stick. This is on Yosemite 10.10.3

    .fml double click error

BTW, I am really liking the stability of formZ 8.5, and the new Layout is getting really close to all I need for docs. Would love to see better line quality when exporting to PDFs.

    .fml double click error

I'm on a Retina 5k iMac. I just registered this morning. When using the "Get Info" command on the .fml files, the OS is reporting that formZ.app (formZ 8.0) is the default. On a semi-related note, I can't get OS X to register the 8.5 beta as the default for opening .fmz files, either. I set it in the "Get Info" window, and it won't stick.

    .fml double click error

When I double-click to open an .fml file, the Modeling Import Options: 3DM dialog pops up.
