    Terrain model

When I set base starting height to one foot and interval to two feet. using using 5 topos my terrain height is at 13'. Should it not be at 11'? Model is at 0,0,0. Also when I generate the entire site which only has a total elevation of 20', the model ends up at 132' when generated. that is way off. Is grouping topo lines supported like it was in v7?

    Projection Tool

I did an orthographic projection of some objects is top view. I did not deselect the objects and switched to side view because I wanted to pick some more objects. The projection tool was still selected. I clicked in the window to select the other objects and it activated the projection tool which I did not want to happen. I just forgot to hit the pick tool. but I got an error message "The ortho projection tool produced no projections, because the object projects to degenerate faces." The problem is is that I can not get the pop box to go away. I hit ok a million times and it just comes back.
  11. I am not able to run any 32 bit version of Form-Z on my new computer. I can run the 64 bit versions fine. I installed the x86 vcredist. I found a thread from 2012 where someone experienced the exact same issue. When you try to start the program it freezes at the Form-Z splash screen. Here are my system specs. Win 7 pro x64 Samsung SSD 1 TB (operating system and programs) Dual E5-2600 v3 CPU's 32 GB Ram GTX 970 ASUS Z10PE D8 WS 4 TB SSD + HDD I have other 32 bit applications like Photoshop running just fine.
  12. I have been on that forum. The error I listed the report above for BEX suggest DEP issues.
  13. I tried both of those options. And they did not work.
  14. Is this an error with Data Execution Prevention?
  15. Yes, That is correct. It only shows the start up screen and with the build number.

  17. Installing Quick Time did not help.
  18. Ok. Yes, that is the version I have.
  19. Yes. I have tried all those options. Only I do not have quick time installed on this machine. The Form-Z 8 folder swap did not work.
  20. I have been doing some digging and I found other people with the same issue with 3DMAX and 32 bit version. They boiled it down to their cpu's having to many cores. It seems to be a cpu affinity issue perhaps. Is anyone else running the 32 bit version that you know of with a similar dual set up like the one I have? This computer is lees than a month old. The OS was just installed not that long ago. And i have only a few programs on it. Maxwell, Blender, Form-Z, Photoshop and unreal Engine 4.

I render with Maxwell anyway. Maxwell uses all cores physical and virtual.
  22. I installed all my programs before I installed virus software. I have also tried the options you mentioned. Like I said, this is happening with v6, v7 and v8 x32 only.

My cpu usage does not go above 50% when rendering from the imager. It shows in the prefs to use all 40 cores but does not appear to be. It appears to not be rendering with virtual cores.
