    Sorry for the lack of response here in the last few weeks. We have been absorbed with the response to V-Ray for form•Z and work in progress on an updated 8.6 and new features and collaborations for form•Z 9.  
     
    We have received some great feedback on V-Ray for form•Z. We are really excited the results that form•Z users have been able to achieve in a very short time. Some users have requested additional V-Ray features that were not in our original scope. These will be coming soon along with a few adjustments that you would expect with a new product. Some of these are features that you will find in V-Ray for 3D Studio Max, but not V-Ray for SketchUp or V-Ray for Rhino. We are working on compatibility with the form•Z Imager. pkcn, the card you mention should work with V-Ray for form•Z. How did you conclude that it was not working?
     
    Yes we are a small team, but we love what we do and we care for everyone who uses our creations. Please recognize that the development of V-Ray for form•Z was a huge undertaking and investment that we would not have made if we did not believe in the future of form•Z and its users. Chaos Group creates the plugins for the other solutions so you will naturally see more marketing of these solutions on their site. Expect to see more publicity on V-Ray for form•Z in the coming months.
     
    We are certainly not hibernating. The founders are involved in the company so your speculations are misplaced. We all miss Paul and his efforts on this forum. We will try to do better at following the standard he set. Keep in mind that you can reach us by email at support@form•Z.com as well!

    Hi Pylon,

     

    I tried to render with maxwell but a window tell me that maxwell is not activate, (fire and studio works).

    I tried to activate and activate again but there is a message "licence activate".

    I have a node locked license and OSX 10.10.5

    for a recent work I place maxwell MXS trees to terrain faces with the place tool in Z 8.5.4 and I must back save to v7 for randoimizer with the v7 plug in and then reopen to v Z 8.5.4.
    Please update the plug in.

    Hi Pylon,
     
    I installed the 3.2.1.4 upgrade and try to generate 300 frames with 8.5.4 and the latest plug-in (Mac Pro 4,1 with 12 Gb RAM and OSX 10.10.5).
    With the latest early build formZ took few minutes, now with 3.2.1.4 plug-in took 1 hour and 40 minutes (with base animation disable).
     
    I installed the 3.2.1.4 plug-in because early build worked great but with same 300 animation frames some random frames (9 of 300) had mxs trees scatter moved different for the rest of frames.
     
    I tryed to generate manuallt only the problematic frames but the scatter mxs are moved again. (i don't to disabled base animation with the early build).
     
    I don't know if with the 3.2.1.4 plug-in and base animation disabled the generation frames long time is aspected;
     
    The project is too big to send you but if the animation will the same frames problem i consider to send you formZ project with all textures and dipendencies.

    Hi,
     
    I just purchase the maxwell upgrade from v2 to v3 but in MXED I don't see any preset or procedural materials.
    I'm on Mac (OS X 10.10.4) and Z 8.02. I find it in v3 online documentation but i don't understand where are the procedural parameter.

    Hi Pylon,   I have an error with Maxwell 3.2 and last formZ plugin  3.2.0.4 (not the beta); when insert the reference MXS attached i made without problem maxwell still images but not animation.   I tried to reinstallate the maxwell suit without success.     I send to your mail the maxwell log and the reference MXS; I attached also the view from still render maxwell window.     I send to your mail also a link to a formZ 8.5.0.2 file with only the problem objects;   http://we.tl/llZAMrMQuL

    Thank you to everyone for your thoughtful messages. They mean a lot to us and to his family. Paul decided not to share his illness so as not to distract from his support of the community. He often answered emails and forum posts while at long chemo sessions or late at night when he was unable to sleep.
     
    He set the standard for customer care that we will continue as we honor his determination and eternal optimism.
