    Hi Pylon
     
    I can make the Maxwell physical sun follow a formZ directional light (sun). I can also animate the formZ sun by setting a start and end time in my animation.
     
    The Maxwell sun position only updates whenever i open the dialog for the physical sky. So when exporting for rendering (Maxwell), the sun becomes static.
     
    Is this something there is a workaround for or can you possibly make the plugin update the sun position before exporting each frame?

      It's been cropped to show a darker portion of the image that has quite a bit of flickering! There is noise too, but that's expected and can be reduced using a different lighting setup.   Question is... What's causing the flickering and how do I avoid it? Maybe... - meshing the floor plane - not using grass for the carpet - avoiding specific light types - anything else   Recommendations much appreciated!!   Thanks Anders   (PS I posted this on the Maxwell render forums as well, but decided to post here as well in case it's a formZ+Maxwell thing)

    Is there a way that I can convert placed .mxs files (lot's of furniture) into geometry? I need that in order to pass over my scene to someone else.
     
    I tried packaging and opening the complete scene .mxs in C4D, in order to export from there, but C4D doesn't import the reference objects.
     
    I tried opening my scene in Studio in order to export from there, but it doesn't seem work in any way either.

    I have a simple animated camera - moving from a to b at constant speed and need that camera path moved to C4D.
     
    So, does any of the formZ export formats support the simplest keyframe animation?

    I have a bit of a problem. I have to add people to a formz animation/scene (with simple camera motion). I have been looking at Anima...
     
    - I can import my formz into Anima (fbx) and add people.
     
    - I can export my Anima scene as fbx (lot's of fun settings)
     
    - When I import the anima/fbx scenes into formz ,there i no motion. Characters just stand still at the center of the scene (one big mess).
     
    Like I said there some setting when generation the fbx from Anima (see attached); animation preset, animation format and fbx version. Does anyone have experience with this / the correct settings? ...or is it even possible?

    - I can import my formz into Anima (fbx) and add people.
     
    - I can export my Anima scene as fbx (lot's of fun settings)

    I purchased the Vizpark interior plants package as .mxs reference files. I works fine on my own machine and renders as it should. When I try to render a scene at Rebusfarm, I get an error message when trying to upload the file with RebusDrop.
     
    "You have textures with invalid filename in your scene. The invalid files are: - e:\skydrive\vizpark\vp interior plants\03 plants\vp_ficus alastica\02 3ds max scenes\vp_ficuselastica_bark_bump.png (and lot's more for just one plant)"
     
    Why is there even this reference in the plant mxs reference file. If it renders on my own machine that doesn't have access to that drive, then I don't see why it shouldn't work on RebusFarm or why that file reference is even in the mxs reference file.
     
    Anyone had success with Vizpark .mxs files and Rebusfarm rendering?

    Which movie formats is it possible to use as formZ textures? I would usually use a .mov file, but that doesn't work when my sequence is rendered in Maxwell. Are there any other formats that might be supported by both formZ and Maxwell?

    This is a minor error I think, but maybe an easy fix. The formZ material (see attached) keeps resetting to the first material defined in the formZ project.
     
    I usually check and correct this just before packing for rendering, but sometimes I forget and that leads to a useless render... White grass in my case.

    I tried Z's override setting in layer attributes, but it doesn't work.

    It would be really handy if the Maxwell Attributes window was a normal FormZ palette and could be left out - available at all times.

    I am trying to make a convincing hedge. I am using Maxwell scatter to distribute individual leafs on an square shape (the hedge). Each leaf mxs file is a flat rectangle. I got two problems...
     
    1. All leafs stick to the square shapes' surface and are either oriented flat on it or pointing 90 degrees outwards. Object modifyer rotate variation seems to have no effect on this. This means the hedge looks transparent when seen from the sides.
     
    2. Again, leafs stick to the surface. Is there a way to make them fill up the square shape? Volumetric scatter.
     
    I have tried to scatter the leafs to several planes close to each other instead. That solves problem 1, but it still looks bad then the hedge is seen from the end or top.
