    FormZ Scenes and V-Ray

It seems that FormZ scenes do not respect Vray light settings - for example, if I want to create a scene showing a different sun position the Scenes do not respect the new lighting. Is there any way around this?

    Lost VRAY...

I've lost Vray too - trying to install on my new PC and FormZ is ok but when it start it doesn't search for plugins and Vray does not show up.

    vray image autosave

Actually, it has started to save the log file for now - I'm not sure why - will have to investigate

    vray image autosave

Hi, I'm having a few small problems with Vray as follows: 1. The "image autosave" is not working. The images are not saved. 2. The "V-ray messages" window is not working properly. At the end it normally lets you know how log the render took. At the moment this is not working. 3. The "V-ray messages" window has options at the bottom including "write log file". This does not appear to be working - where should I look for this log file. These are not big problems but it would be good to get them sorted out. Has anyone else experienced the same?

    Views Group

Hi, I think it would be great if we could group Views in the same way that we can group Layers or Materials - eg lots of exterior, interior, bedroom, bathroom group etc, thanks, Chris

And for "Scenes" as well, I should have said:)

    Group for "Views"

Hi, I always end up with hundreds of views which is unwieldy. If there can can be groups for Layers etc then why could there not be Groups for Views as well? Then for instance I could render all my interior views overnight without wasting a lot of time try to sort or rename them. Thanks, Chris

    Render animation in vray?

Hi artyboy64, Yes, for me the animations are now working although I can't stop it once its started, other than by using task manager to crash FZ. I'm using the following versions: - FZ v8.6.3.1 Build 10163 - Vray v3.6.3.3 Build 1241 Dec 13 Hope that helps! Best regards, Chris

    Render animation in vray?

Thanks John, I'm using : FormZ - Version Build 10163 VRay - Version Build 1221 Wndows 10 - i5, 3.1GHz, 8Gb RAM When I hit the "Generate Animation" button the little window pops up but no image appears in it. Eventually it says (Not Responding), then some time later it crashes and FormZ dissappears from the screen - completely! However, I did find (completely by accident) in my FormZ Folder a file named "formZAnimFrame.bmp" which is a picture of the first frame of the animation that should have been produced (but its not the file name that I setup). All other modes of animation are working - wireframe, renderzone etc. Anyway, I will keep trying I suppose, maybe with a new FZ model... Cheers, Chris

    V-Ray and Sun Position

Thanks Andrew, I've started to do that - and its fine, but its also nice to be able to say this is what the room looks like at say 7am on a certain day which you could easily do with renderzone and FZ, mind you - the daylighting of the room may not been as realistic...

    Render animation in vray?

Hi John, Are you still able to generate an animation? I have given up trying to use Imager and now I trying an animation. I am using FZ and every time I try to do the animation with VRay - just two frames (on the draft setting smallest image size) it crashes after about a minute. Thanks in advance for any tips, cheers, Chris
