What would an American city be in the future if it continues to spread horizontally? A time perhaps in the next 60 years when the population doubles, and its density creating havoc and chaos with its infrastructure; clogged freeway, insufficient public transportation, etc., and art is then truly reflected in reality, as with the film Blade Runner, by Ridley Scott.
How would this impact the quality of life, and how can architects respond to housing the masses, while retaining a high quality of life? Do we build up, or do we encroach upon precious agricultural land?
Here is one solution.
Urban Forms is inspired by the city of Los Angeles, California, the city of dreams, hopes, and of the future.
