Form Z is a powerful 3d software. It has easiest interface among these 3d software. It generates realistic images with short time rendering. Form Z always is my first choice.
Images were generated by Form Z software without any lighting plug-in software.- Album created by AutoDesSys

I'm an Architecture student studying B.Arch.
I'm new to Form Z & this is my first project in Form Z.
This project is a thesis design - " ARCHITECTURAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER".
I'm very happy to use Form Z. I learned it clearly within 2 weeks.

I made the model of our home because my dad had intentions of making a home extension (a garage on the ground floor and bedrooms on the first floor). The existing house was built in 1992 in the then popular Ugandan-style of building.
The Karibu Visitor Centre was my third year project. It is located in Nabusanke, a rural town in Uganda. The visitor centre is situated close to the equator markers which cross the Kampala-Masaka Highway. This landmark attracts visitors who usually stop by to take some pictures on their way to western Uganda.
I started using form.Z in 2013 during my third year of Bachelor of Environmental Design, Architecture. It was offered as a special topic called Design Computing. Before learning form.Z, I was teaching myself Google SketchUp. I however found the new form.Z 7 interface very intuitive and very easy to learn. I particularly liked the vast palette of modeling tools and the fact that it has an internal rendering engine. I am currently in my year out and doing my research paper. I hope to be graduating in November this year.

Piece by piece everything comes together to produce a masterpiece completely different from the initial expectation. I am a sophomore architecture major and went into architecture understanding it to be a sort of hybrid of calculation and art. However, it turned out to be completely different from my expectation but grasped my interest even more. The extent of freedom and the space available for expression makes it all the more interesting. I dream, I act and I hope to one day soon, establish my own architectural firm. I am Olusegun and architecture as gradually developed from my major to my lifestyle.- Album created by AutoDesSys

I am a PhD student in electrical engineering and work at the Physics department at the University of Texas at Arlington. We recently published a paper in Advanced Materials journal and I randomly found the fromz software at the architecture department computer lab. I was able to learn the software in few weeks and designed a cover page for the journal paper. This cover page was accepted and now we have paper and the cover page in one of the most prestigious journals of science.

I currently study in architecture at University de Montréal, but it is in my previous college, the Collège Marie-Victorin where I studied in interior design, that I learned how to use Form Z. Ever since, even if I have learned many other modeling softwares, I keep Form Z as my first choice. I like the interface and the intuitive way it is made to be used : it surely helps me to picture the design I see in my mind.

Katie Eastman
My name is Katie Eastman and I recently earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture degree at Ohio University in the spring of 2015, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude! At OU I also focused in graphic design, video game development, real estate and other areas of fine art. Throughout my schooling and free time, I enjoy experimenting and creating with different mediums and searching for new programs to teach myself. I have always been intrigued by digital art, especially those utilizing 3D modeling and animation. With formZ I have been able to explore ideas and visually communicate my designs clearly and well-rendered.
FormZ was the main program used in the Interior Architecture studios at Ohio U. This project was created in order for students to teach themselves formZ through the process of making objects. By thinking out-of-the-box, these 3d mechanical pieces could then be arranged in ways to create conceptual environments and spaces within spaces. Although this project was a crash course in formZ, it ended up being one of my most unique projects that I am proud of! Besides this submission, I also utilized formZ on multiple other projects including a bar/restaurant and art gallery!

Balqees Al Marzouqi
I am an interior design student at Zayed University in U.A.E. I understand in order to explore a design idea, one has to develop the basic skills of expression through exploration of a simple form by using any media. I enjoyed using Form Z testing my limits through digital and physical modeling
This exercise was conducted in my first interior design introduction studio (ART 287) to understand exploration of a design idea (35cmX35cmX35cm cube) through digital and physical modeling. Form Z allowed me to guide myself between physical and digital modeling effortlessly. The challenge was not just modeling, but also composition, photography, and graphics as well.

I am a Guatemalan architect graduated 1 year ago that used form Z for all my projects during architecture school. Now that I am a freelance architect, Form Z keeps being my working partner. My architectural passion is sustainable and ecological architecture, this type of architecture can be characterized by its organic forms, so Form Z is perfect for this designs and would not change it for any other stiff 3D modeling software that would compromise my creative and organic design process.
The renders where some rendered in form z and others in another rendering software. Images where manipulated in photoshop.- Album created by AutoDesSys

I love formZ for the convenience (and power!) of its tools and interchangeability. I use it for quick design studies in architecture, urban design, furniture design, object design, and exhibition design.
When I started studying architecture in Innsbruck I used to draw with Rhino3D, but changed to formZ when I had the feeling that progress was slowing down with Rhino. I was pleased to get my hands on a software where one can construct and model likewise. I am happy that there was a lot of progress in the development of formZ the last years.
Today I have the impression that I am still the only one who uses formZ at my university. More and more of the other students are using Rhino3D because it has a scripting plugin (grasshopper) that has a good interface and is even for people with no coding experience easy to work with. Also teachers and older students actively promote the use of Rhino and give free trainings.
This makes me kind of sad, because here, nobody really seems to appreciate the quality of formZ as a modeling and construction software capable of a lot of things. Yes, it does come short in terms of scripting, but maybe in the near future scripting will become more user-friendly in formZ too?
I designed the project by extensively using the formZ scripting language of formZ6. I used it to link the geometry of NURBS with a underlying mesh which was derived from the spatial program of the bath, and I also manipulated the geometry of the NURBS by creating an algorithm which transforms the points of the NURBS according to the clearance between the points of the mesh and according to the altitude of those points.
The whole design and visualization was done in FormZ. I later edited the cgis in Photoshop and drew plans in Vectorworks based on the data in the FormZ model. I also built a physical model by slicing the design vertically along the longitudinal axis of the building in formZ and sending it to a laser cutter.
FormZ allowed me to manipulate and evaluate (dynamic sections, multiple cameras) my design very quickly and to exchange my data without minimal friction with other devices or software. It is always splendid to work with formZ. I only wished that the coding interface in formZ was more dynamic and user friendly.- Album created by AutoDesSys
