    Jones, Partners: Architecture is a full service architectural practice, emphatically based in California, with an international reputation for the design of richly engaging, technologically intense environments.

    This work has won numerous awards and been published widely; it has also been featured in exhibits at museums and galleries on four continents. The principals have lectured on technology and the work of the office throughout the world, and taught in the schools of architecture at many leading universities. Princeton Architectural Press has published two monographs of the work, Instrumental Form, which covers the first ten years of J,P:A’s existence. and now El Segundo, which deals with the next eight.

    The Flare Storm is an emergency light and radio for disaster situations. Designed as part of the senior level industrial design studio, the intent is to combine three elements -- a flashlight, an emergency radio, and a hand powered generator. form•Z was used along with sketch development early in the design process to explore the possible product configurations. It naturally followed to continue using form•Z for finalizing the concept and rendering images for the final presentation.

    "Industrial Illustrators, Inc. is a technical/ scientific graphics studio located near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1976 and is considered one of the premier technical/ scientific studios in the country. Ours was the first studio in the USA to use a Macintosh computer for technical graphics (1985). Frank Micle is a technical illustrator with 30 years of experience that loves his job. These two cutaway projects replace the traditional airbrush renderings, which Coleman had previously used for over ten years. Changes in structure or materials or new options are modeled and rendered?in a very short time. These models were created without very much customer input, from sketches and on-site photos. form•Z is an eloquent way of creating something cool out of nothing in particular."

    i.e. etc. is a dynamic custom manufacturer of exhibits, displays, and kiosks for trade show, museum, and retail markets. "We have been using form·Z for a number of years now for all our exhibit and environment concepts. form·Z has allowed us to expand our creative capabilities to produce creative ideas beyond just fabricating exhibits. Our internal design staff enjoys working with form·Z because of its speed and accuracy. Our sales department's closing ratios have increased due to our expanded design department and use of form·Z rendered presentation concepts. The examples shown here represent concepts developed for the variety of markets that we serve including medical and manufacturing trade shows, sports arenas, retail shopping centers, and artificial environments."
