thecadman
What is the best way to make a graphic 'glow' like you can do in Renderzone? Can you do it without going into the Maxwell texture editor?
pylon
To make a texture emit light without using MXED: 1. In the material's "Shaded" representation, use an HDRI image in the color channel. 2. In the material's "Maxwell" representation, set the Translate Shaded hint to Emitter, and Color to HDRI. To create a glow around the objects, experiment with Maxwell's Simulens feature: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/mxdocsv3/SimuLens http://support.nextlimit.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=16810286 Test image with the Simulens Diffraction value at 1250: And at 1800:
