rodlord
Hi - can anyone tell me please why the Place along Path tool just doesn't seem to function ? If I use "By Distance" and enter 1 m it arbitrarily uses something like 53.486 m ! If I use number of copies and put in 515 it arbitrarily uses 15 ! Have I missed something ? What am I doing wrong ? Am using 7.3.4 on Mountain Lion. Thanks in anticipation ! Cheers Rod
rodlord
For some mad reason when I opened the file and tried it one more time it worked properly ! I had tried it over and over again before posting my question on here. But there remains one very odd thing - after carrying out the operation NOTHING works properly. Items are showing in the view when they are clearly switched off - nothing can be selected. The only remedy is to save the file and Quit FormZ - then re-open the file. Everything then appears Hunky-Dory. But at least I can now move on. Cheers, Rod
rodlord
So now it's happening again. After functioning fine with both Distance and Number I needed to use the same profile to place along a different path and it now insists on changing my 1.000 m to 0.0126 m - repeatedly - even after I quit, open the file again to find the 1.000 setting has remained ... and then it changes it again the moment I try to use the tool. I'm going to have to give up and do it manually. I can't waste any more time. Cheers, Rod
Smarttec
It's probably that version. The next version 8 and the subsequent 8.5 upgrades were major rewrites and I know they completely redid the 'core' database. The current version is 8.5/8.
