Spacer
Hi, I am trying to re-make materials from a 3D model downloaded (purchased) from Turbosquid. I am used to re-saving JPEG files since I know that FZ only accepts "base" (standard) format JPEGs, but now I get this error regarding a TIFF. I tried opening in Photoshop and re-saving in TIFF optimized for IBM/PC ,but it won't load in FZ when i tro to make a material from it. (my software is in Frnech, which explains why some of the screenshot text may seem odd). ` Thanks- Peter
Martin Malinski
Hard to know the problem; just a thought, in ps check whether the image mode is CMYK ....convert to RGB if it is and make 16 or 8bit, not 32..(in ps it's under Image>mode).. make sure image is flattened.(Layer>flatten) ...If tiff still doesn't work you can now at least save as jpeg or tga and re-assign. kac
Photoshop used to corrupt progressive jpg files when saved to baseline standard, not sure if they fixed that at all. Tiff might be cmyk and not rgb+alpha that may be a problem. Your best bet is to use either png or tga. All of my textures are either png or tga and I never have an issue in any of my 3d programs with them.
