Justin Montoya
FBX files are not importing correctly for me. Missing maps, and the Axis is turned 90*. Anyone else?
allanjl
Yes. Absolutely true. I gave up using FBX to import geometry. I use obj.
Bartjuan
Ditto, I still use FBX once in a while, I found I have to use the Transformation box, pick "Flip Z" "Swap Y-Z" to get a correct orientation. OBJ still seems to be better in the long run. Maps are hit and miss, often the roughness values are WAY off. Bart
snow
Seconded to Bart's post with the added note that the Flip Z and Swap Y-Z is not really a "problem", this just depends in which program the file was created. C4D, for example, has the Y axis as the "up and down" axis. Some others do the same, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
