Tech
formZ’s extensions provide a powerful set of technologies for 3D generative design, task automation, and interfacing with devices. Coinciding with the release of formZ 8, we're launching a new initiative called the formZ LAB. The LAB is dedicated to unlocking the potential of formZ’s extensions for architects, designers, and artists. The LAB's first tool, Profiles is ready to download today. For full details, visit the LAB blog, here: http://lab.formz.com It's a tumblr blog, so you can follow it easily by clicking on the tumblr icon. There's also a Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/formZ_LAB We look forward to showing you what we’ve been working on.
Rafe Ropek
I can't seem to change thew dimensions of the objects after starting with one size. Then quitting the tool and reselecting the tool I am still unable to alter dimensions. What am I missing? Mac OS 10.9.
lab
Make sure you have valid dimensional parameters. For instance, if you try to put a 3/4" round on a 1" x 1" Rectangular Tube Profile, your input will be rejected and nothing changed, because this is not possible. If this is not it, please post a screen capture of your tool options.
