David Lemelin
Hi, I am having a bit of a challenge with the new denoiser Maxwell has added in v4. It seems to work fine if I'm rendering on a single machine, but if I enable denoising on a network render, the images fail at the end of the rendering process and I get no images, denoised or otherwise. Should I be taking non-denoised network renders and run them through the denoising process on a single machine to avoid this issue? Anyone have any similar experiences? pylon
A link to information on Network Rendering with Denoising enabled: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/maxwell4/Denoiser For testing, perhaps try a smaller image with a lower SL, so that you can quickly determine where the issue lies. Try CPU denoising instead of GPU; perhaps there is a memory limitation.
David Lemelin
Hi, I read the article but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to resolve what I'm seeing... I'm attaching a screen cap of the MXnetwork window and the accompanying error message. Perhaps there's something glaring I'm not seeing?
pylon
Hi David, Unfortunately, my expertise is in the plugin area. For questions about network rendering, please submit a help ticket to Next Limit or post your query to the Network Rendering forum.
Gary
If you read the error message, the MXI files are being saved in the temp folder. If you go to the temp folder before quitting, you can manually merge the MXI files. While this does not solve the problem, it does get you a merged file.
