HELP with .sat format

I have tested this in other applications. Its an ACIS v26 file ... it is a newer ACIS version that is not compatible with any applications I have. I suspect that is the issue with your older FormZ as well.

Here's the header info from the file:

10 cadwork 3d 12 ACIS 26.0 NT 24 Fri Jun 23 14:28:23 2017

Looks like Cadwork is the application that created it:   http://www.cadwork.com/indexL1.jsp?wsid=675967&now=1498232629307

There's a demo available, maybe you can use it to convert to a different format

Hi JL,

Like Chris, we are also having trouble opening this file in the current version of formZ or various other 3D modeling programs.  Try an earlier version of the .sat file or perhaps the information can be exported with a different file extension.

In addition It could useful to know the ACIS version in the latest version of FZ and (just for me ?) in Z 6.7.3

With this information we can indicate the good solution at the export...

Ps

This export is really fine...

(exact position and scale, polygon solids, smooth solid, no triangulation, named objects)

Great !

I do not know when I've purchased my first license of Formz...

But formz was in version 3.5 (I think) so it was a long time ago!

But there is only one thing that has never changed: it is the unbeatable quality of this support!

Not a legend, a myth

:) :) :)
