Bob van Holten
Hi Tech, For some obscure reason FZ 7 was the first upgrade that misses the Attach Tool. I explained to you that it's an essential tool for basic and complex modeling. You agreed and promised me to reintroduce it in the next version of FZ. Obviously it’s still missing, even in FZ pro. The question is: Why? Best regards, Bob
Tech
Hi Bob, Thanks for the reminder that this tool is important to you. We did look into this and unfortunately it was not easy to bring this tool forward, but since it is important, we will devote more time to this. Bo Atkinson
I too hope this important tool is brought back to formZ 8 and above. Unfortunately 64 bit Macs won't support formz version 6 so the tool is harder still to access. (?) Has anyone had success running version 6 on a separate HD, lower OSX, on a MacPro? So much time goes into straddling these issues- I hope there is time left to immerse into complex modeling again.

Hi Bob, I make use of Parallels to maintain both Windows and OS X virtual machines across operating system generations. On the OS X side of things the furthest I've gone back is 10.5 (Leopard). I've not attempted to install FormZ 6.5 but I have a couple of dongle enabled audio programs that function perfectly via Parallels. Definitely worth a try. My fear for 3d graphics software would be OpenGL issues but I run an old install of Maya on 10.5 (for converting legacy projects) with no problems at all. Might be worth having a play with the demo. setz
Hi Bo, (Creator of the "Boa Constrictor" helix trick!) From one newbie to another.... lol, FormZ V6 does run on a 64bit Mac. On a 2012 MacPro (2x6core Intel Xeon): On one internal drive I'm running FZ 6.7.3 and FZ 8.0.1 in Mavericks 10.9.5. On a second internal drive I am running FZ 6.7.3 and FZ 7.3.4 on Snow Leopard 10.6.x (I also have a partition with Bootcamp Windows 7)
