AsOne
I used to use the Function keys a lot...specifically F5 to lock the Reference Plane. I have tried checking and unchecking the Keyboard function key box in System Preferences to no avail. Mac OS 10.12.4. I know I can change to other shortcuts, but would prefer to keep the function keys working. Since I upgraded to Mac OS Sierra I can't get them to work. Any suggestions? Bo Atkinson
I always deactivate the OS X short cut keys which otherwise have interfered with my very personalized short cut keys. There are a few Currently the F5 and other personally assigned function keys are working flawlessly for me. There are a number of lists in the OS X perfs to uncheck. ¢hris £und
Are your F-Keys nonfunctioning outside of fZ? Are they acting like system modifiers? (Volume, keyboard brightness, etc...) In and out of fZ? Isolate the behavior a little better, then there can be some more specific recommendations. ¢£
Tech
ASONE, Are you holding down the "fn" button on your keyboard when you press any of the function keys? This is working well for us on similar systems.
AsOne
I tried all options, FN key on/off, toggling the Mac systems preferences. Finally I found I can reset the Mac OS function key defaults. That worked.
