Justin Montoya
The OpenGL Shaded Full of v8 works great for showing off quick views to clients. I'm thinking it could even provide a nice simple and clean fly through animation. Is there anyway we can add additional Multi-Sampling? The 2X Multi-Sampling option works good, but it would be great if we could get it an additional 4X or even 8X sampling modes to help clean up the edges. Possible? Tech
Hi Justin, We will see if this can be added the future, thanks for the suggestion!
ZTEK
+1...Shaded Full is my default rendering mode to show my ideas and projects to my clients and I almost don't use RenderZone for my presentations, any improvement would be very welcome!!!
AsOne
+1000 I use Shaded Full all the time. It rivals base level Renderzone at this point. Improvements I would love to see: 1. Shadows are lighter at the "beginning" where it starts casting off an object. Subtle, but easily seen up close. 2. Shadow edge could be further refined, but Massive setting does do a good job. 3. Soft Shadow could use a fine gradation in terms of how it effects the shadow edge. For my taste it jumps to a very blurry edge too quickly. 4. More Multi Sample as mentioned above. 5. Ambient Occlusion on/off option for individual objects. 6. Better integration with the iPad app. I do not get the same results moving a project to the iPad viewer. This might have something to do with the iPad render engine though.
AC1000
Normal Shaded mode (not Full) needs also improvement. It is now quite coarse. screen.tiff
Tech
Hi AC, Some of the "coarseness" is caused by lines being redrawn multiple times. If you hide the ghosted objects (or delete them), turn off Silhouette Edges, and turn on Antialiasing, you should see a noticeable difference in the display quality while using Shaded Work mode. AC1000
Yes Tech, it will get better with your instructions. There is an another issue that could be improved. Isolines are rendered poorly in Shaded (both) mode. Hidden line mode produces perfect strong isolines.
Tech
AC, Iso lines in the Shaded modes are not meant to be prominent in the model. Also note that the Hidden Line undergoes a completely different rendering process compared to shaded modes. Perhaps an option to increase the line weight of ISO lines in shaded mode is desired? AC1000
Yes, option to increase the line weight would be nice.
