Still having license issues

Again FormZ has presented me with a dialogue stating that there is a problem with my registration.

Then the registration dialogue pops up and I have a choice to press register or quit.

Register flashes that I am running formZ on more machines than I have licenses for.

I have 1 computer running 2 operating systems. I have already been through this once with tech support.

Already it has broken again.

Please fix so quickly I can go though my entire project archive since FormZ 6.7 and resave to the older format so I can work from a version of FormZ licensed to my Wibu key going forward. The new versions of formZ are no longer for me.

Sorry to rant but this has happened at a bad time (difficult project - Monday deadline)

This is usually an issue with having too many MAC addresses registered to your serial number, which is something that needs to be take care of manually on our end.  If you send an email to support@formz.com we can take care of this problem for you.

This was already done by support@formz.com where they removed the mac address for my previous workstation.

I only have one workstation 2012 MacPro running OS X (El Capitan). and Windows 7 64bit via bootcamp.

I have hardware keys for Vectorworks, Lightwave, Electric Image and Headus UV Layout and of course the Wibu key for FormZ 6.7.3

Plus some others that are only connected from time to time.

Some software licensing sees these keys as separate IDs for example Simlab Composer does this.

However Simlab has a dropdown menu allowing the user to choose which ID the activation is tied to.

For the moment formZ 8.5 is running again but I cannot tell when the license might fail again.

I was fortunate that I could finish my work in Vectorworks (a little late but ok) However I cannot afford for this to happen again.

So for now I use FormZ 8.5 to save out current projects for 6.7 (and DWF/stp for contingency) sacrificing a little interactivity and pretty viewport for reliability and a few useful features that did not make it into the newer releases.

I should add that I have been using FormZ since v3.xx or around 15 years or so.

I'm not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill but the move away from wibu key has thrown up some issues for me.

I can no longer freelance at a clients site using formZ and have had difficulties alternating between Mac Os and Windows via bootcamp.

If there was an upgrade option to continue with the wibu key or similar type of license I would be happy.

Most Vectorworks licenses are node locked but for about $60 you can still order it tied to a usb key.

We are looking at implementing a user-controlled way to control formZ licenses in version 9.  Please note that this will not be with a USB dongle.  The USB dongle is a dated technology (new macintosh systems do not include this port) and in the past we had exponentially more issues with the dongle than we have had without.

Lastly, should you experience anymore licensing issues, I would suggest resolving this problem via email so you do have have to post your formZ serial number and MAC address information in the forum.
