AsOne
Is there a tutorial out there that shows how to prep a file with an alpha channel for use in FormZ? I need to import a 2D image on a transparent background. I have edited out the white background in Photoshop and my file is saved as a Photoshop file currently. It is just the pixel image on a layer with a transparent background. How do I save this in Photoshop so I can load the texture map and then the corresponding texture in the Transparency settings to get the white background to go away in FormZ? I used to know how to do this, but somehow have forgotten.
Tech
Hi Paul, Check out "create alpha channel in Photoshop tutorial" and you should get a quick refresher course. Then just load the alpha channel as the Transparency Map (or you can also use a separate image if desired). Does that help?
DennisA
You should be able to bring in a layered psd file into fmz. The transparent areas will act as an alpha channel in transparent mapping. Make sure to click on match color shader & use alpha channel. Also note there should be no alpha channel in psd document for this to work.
