Xtrudio
Hello, I'd like to get some info on certain peculiarities I encounter in both 7.3.4 and 8.5.6. I imported some dxf files, which seem of very good quality. I use the same files in a GIS app and they're great. Although I checked "construct 3D solids" everything comes as line and surfaces. Which is OK, I can extrude the surfaces myself. 1. Objects look weird in work and work shaded but they look as they should in wireframe (see the attached image). 2. If I extrude the surfaces as they come, they are fine but I end up with collinear segments and coplanar faces. Object doctor would eventually fix the faces but not the segments. If I apply the object doctor prior to the extrusion, some faces will change the direction and it's an involved process to select just those and reverse them. Anybody? setz
Model may be very far from the origin?
Tech
Hi Horia, If moving the objects to the origin does not solve the issue as Setz suggests, please send the file to us so we can take a look and see what else we can suggest.
