onuc
Hi does anybody know, how I can adjust the IBL parameters (rotation and scale) by geometry in the file. with other lights it works without problems, but IBL I don’t see any geometry in the file. (I uploaded a HDRI) If I make the light visible in the Lights palette, I'm still not able to see something in the file. Thanks for any help! onuc
pylon
Hi Onuc, You can adjust the rotation and intensity of the light in the Light Parameters dialog: I would recommend reading the section on IBL here: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/maxwell4/formZ+%7C+Lighting+%7C+Lights+-+Environment+Type
onuc
Hi, thanks for your answer. This I already saw, but do I have also the possibility to change the parameters in my geometry like I have with other light sources? The problem is, when I highlight the IBL, I still can't see the light source in my drawing. thanks and have a nice day, onuc
pylon
Sorry, it is not possible to display a light as image map through the formZ SDK in the manner you describe, so rotating the geometry would give you no feedback. Enable Fire to make these adjustments. The light will update in the Fire display in real time when you adjust the slider shown in the dialog above. (If you have a complex scene, you can turn temporarily turn off "heavy" layers to speed up the refresh rate.)
