Texture / Tiling Problem in V4

Hi Guys,

 

See attached screen shots, when you look closely at the tiled floor, which is a maxwell material from the website, you can see something weird is happening where it appears to be broken or misaligned somehow. (The floor is just a flat plane).

 

Im a total novice when I comes to rendering, any ideas whats going on?

 

Maxwell 4 / Formz 8.5 pro / Mac

Please send a formZ project file with just the tile plane exhibiting the issue, the MXM referenced, and all the bitmaps used by the MXM. (You can use Maxwell Render > Workstation Transfer to collect the dependencies.)

Please ZIP the project and dependencies and send via Dropbox (or equivalent) to pylon_support.jpg

We will investigate why this might be happening and report back with a solution.

Hi Pylon, I have sent the file to your email. 

 

If opened in Studio and rendered with CPU, there is a problem, but render the exact same view with GPU and its corrected. (See screen shots)

Andy,

There is something wrong with the shop floor object. If you derive the top face (Derive Face Tool) and then re-extrude it with the Reshape tool, I have found that the tile will render correctly.
