eGrafx
Is this model too complex to animate? I've grouped the objects but they seem to fly apart and other objects I didn't know were in the model show up when I try to animate. I'm just trying to rotate the model on it's center axis 360°. image-11-1.fmz.zip
eGrafx
Here's an example.
Tech
Hi eGrafx, That's strange, that is certainly not behaving as expected. You should be able to simply follow the Help Menu: Animation Manual: Animation Tutorials: Swinging Door tutorial, but something is not working properly in this case. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we will get this corrected. If you animate the camera around the object to show it from all sides, does that allow you to get what you want? Please see this tip for easy steps to do that: http://www.formz.com/support/tips/tip90.html Does that help?
eGrafx
Thank you for the suggestion. I followed the tutorial and created a .fan file (827 MB). When I play the animation it does show the camera rotate around the object. I am now trying to export the animation (by selecting Export Animation... and then selecting the .fan file) to a Quicktime file but there is no progress bar or nothing is happening. The .mov file shows zero bytes. Is it generating in the background?
eGrafx
I have figured out how to do the camera rotate animation now. Thank you for your help.
Tech
Hi eGrafx, Yes, you just need to make the animated camera the active view before generating the animation. Glad you are back on track now!
