Form Z Free Billboard tool

Hi. I'm new to the forum, and am considering Form Z Free to start.

 

The software comparison chart lists the Billboard toll as being included in the Free version. However, I can't find it.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi Byrrtu,

It seems you are correct, I can't find it either, so must be a typo in the comparisons chart.

You can always get round it by drawing a 2d surface and applying a texture. It's pretty much the same thing but with more work to size the texture map etc.

Welcome to the forum!  

 

Yes, there is an error on our site incorrectly indicating the Billboard tool is included with Free.  If there is a demand for this, we could consider adding it for the future.

 

For now, as Des indicates, you can do this in 3 steps (instead of 1.5):

 

1.  Edit a Material and Load the desired Texture.

 

2.  Draw a rectangle of the desired size.

 

3.  Use the Edit Texture tool to size the map on the rectangle.  (Uncheck the Lock if you wish to change the proportions.)
