Bo Atkinson
Does anyone here ever attach precise polyhedra, face to face? Some years ago, (v6 or earlier had this), the Attach tool which did this precision function, with 2 clicks. The 8.5.x Place On tool does not do face to face, so far as i can tell, unless there is some magical method to use Edit Axis, (In 2 or three clicks, ha...) Try this on a tetrahedron which totally confuses axes. With all due respect.... I just might have to accept that no other user has this sort of need-- One, all alone, cannot expect restored features, no? (After a year or more, i'm finally re-installing OSX Lion to run v6 again, on 2 old computers. BTW OSX requires Lion or lower OSX to install Lion... So beware, don't kill your old HDs with lower OSX).
Tech
Dear Bo, As we have noted for you multiple times, you do NOT need to install an old OS to run formZ 6.7.3. To do so on a newer computer will result in many problems as the old system is NOT set up to run the newer hardware. If you have a formZ 6.7 Install code, just download the installers from here: http://www.formz.com/support/downloads/download_previous.html Thanks for your suggestion regarding the old attach tool. The current tool can do much of what that does, and while the current version has many advantages, we can see why the old version also has some advantages, so we will consider this for the future.
