Imagix
Is it possible to use a .png image sequence as a material texture – for animation purposes? I know I can use a .mov file, but that would not work for me in this case.
rob
I think you need to convert the images to a MOV file first
Tech
Hi Imagix, Yes, as Rob suggests, you will need to convert that into a MOV file in order to have the images play in your animation.
Imagix
The thing is that I am rendering my animation in Maxwell. That's why I was looking for an alternative to using a .mov files. Maya etc. does accept still image sequences, so I was thinking it might be possible somehow - or maybe can be implementet in the future. In the Maxwell forum I have suggested that the Maxwell plugin could convert .mov files to image sequences at export - as that would also solve my problem. Did you guys talk to Pylon about that?
