etroxel
Turn off the "Use Surface Normal" checkbox in the Scatter Tool Options.
palarsen
Thanks Evan, but I'm talking about the Maxwell scatter. The plugin scatter dialog. Turns out setting bend to 100% fixes it. What a strange workaround

pylon
Hi Petter, The older "Z+" menu option has been replaced with a more flexible "Orient Toward Z+" parameter which is expressed as a percentage. 0% will scatter perpendicular to the input surface, while 100% will orient the scattered objects to the world-z axis. Values in between are interpolated. Nice! Except it appears that in plugin 3.2.0.4, the wrong text is associated with that parameter. The "Bend" parameter is actually "Orient Toward Z+," as you discovered. Thanks for your report, we will get the text corrected.
