Fix snap to perpendicular (to previous 6.7 standard),

(Originally suggested by pipo).

I think all snaps that got lost from 6.7 should be back (endpoint)

+1 for old snaps incl endpoint and center of face from anywhere on a face, not just within pixel tolerance.
Also when points are selected the point snap preview is not visible under the large highlighted point.

+1 Chris ...and within pixel tolerance of the entire segment rather than pixel tolerance of the center of the segment.

Walter, try turning on "Stick to Edges" in snap options.. It's similar to Endpoint snap in v6 (but not as good).

YES!

Try rotating an obscuring rotated object back to Ortho.   WTF?  You have to draw a guide to do it now.  It should snap to Ortho!

As in my post in another thread:

"match grid" check box in snap options please.

Thanks,

Joe

+1 Justin

In addition, If you have an object that is totally skewed, the old 3 Point Alignment Tool (script) was invaluable.  I would love to see this returned to working order soon, perhaps as a standard tool?

And redesign the «Snap Ortho» icon: Make it 90 degrees and not 45 degrees.

I believe the function is broken in v8, as the Ortho guide is there when you first click, but it disappears on second click.  Tech has said they will get this fixed.
