Gary
Hello Support, As requested in the past, it would be a great improvement to Maxwell users if FormZ Light Groups could be passed to Maxwell as a single light type, and show up in Maxwell Multilight as a single light type. The benefits to users include massive memory management in Maxwell, access to IES lights and preview of lights in Shaded Full mode. Please let me know if you need any additional clarification. Thanks, Gary
pylon
ADS: Just clarifying the technical side: Ideally, this would be a "Light Group Override" representation, similar to that provided by the "Light Representation" and "Material Representation." This would include a function returning a FUIM template, so we can insert elements into the Light Groups Override palette. If this is not possible, then just the latter (FUIM template for the the Light Groups override palette), and we will maintain a separate "overrides" data structure and synchronize them to formZ's light groups hierarchy. The same functionality would be welcome for Layer Overrides. pylon
Hi Gary, We conceived and wrote a workaround for supporting formZ's light groups in Maxwell for formZ 4.1.
