AHDD Designer
I would greatly appreciate it if you would correct the representation of the light icons on occasion. In such a way that the separation line is not covered. See attached screenshot of the Form-Z 8.5 light palette.
pylon
That 1-pixel overlap only seems to be an issue when the "formZ Classic" list layout preference enabled. This is not something we have control over; we just submit the icon to formZ, and it decides how it is laid out. If you wish to see this fixed, please submit your request to AutoDesSys. Tech
Hi Pylon, In order to accommodate it we would need to make the palette column wider -- which somewhat defeats the purpose of the classic / smaller palette. Perhaps you could make the image 1 or 2 pixels more narrow so it fits there too?
pylon
There are 16x16 pixels provided to a plugin, which is very small to begin with. In the case of 'Classic' layout, with the "separators" enabled, the separator is being draw under the space allocated for the icon (and only in that case). If the separator were instead drawn over the icon, it would display as expected and use the same amount of screen real estate.
pylon
Here is a set of minimal light icons; If use use 'Classic' Layout or 'Keep Lists Tightly Spaced", you can use these: Minimal_Light_Icons.zip Just copy the contents to Plugins/Maxwell/icons/ It would be great if the application would trim/scale icons as necessary if the full footprint of the icon is not to be used in some contexts. (Display context is not possible to ascertain through the SDK.)
AHDD Designer
Hi Pylon Great! Copy the small icons into the plugin-folder worked very well for me. Thank you for your unhesitating support!
Andre Conlledo
Hello Pylon, is there a plan to make a 4K UI for Maxwell?
AHDD Designer
Hello Pylon I have tweaked the Maxwell light icons for my self - just to make the UI a little bit temperate. What do you think? :-)
pylon
Thanks for your input. Looks good, but they are harder to distinguish at a glance. The existing blue and yellow icons are to graphically distinguish exterior from interior lights, respectively. HDRIs are used for both applications, so they are indicated with a third color. Maybe there is a compromise solution. I'll think about it...
