stubass
In the past, I have created trees for placement in formz/maxwell renderings by using the "mxs create" extension within formz8. I have recently run into problems creating trees that have two components: trunk/branches and leaves. When I choose both components and then "create mxs," the resulting mxs object is missing the leaves component. These are not small obj files (35M is the smallest), and that might be the issue. The geometries are complex. However, if I choose just the leaves, I can create the leaves mxs object and it places just fine. Just not both together. Any idea what's wrong or how I might correct? Most tree obj files for purchase are at least this large.
pylon
Hi, Some issues in this area have been corrected in betas for both the Maxwell Render Suite and the plugins. Using the beta will most likely solve your issue: http://forums.formz.com/index.php?/topic/2002-maxwell-beta-available-3101/

stubass
Turns out the new plugin didn't fix the issue. Any more suggestions?
stubass
One more thing to add: the leaves render on the model in fire but not maxwell render.
pylon
It sounds like you downloaded the beta plugin, but not the beta Maxwell Render Suite (needed to correct the issue in Maxwell).
