AHTOH
As I see clipping planes are affecting lights and emitters. It does except Physical sky and Sky Dome. So it is impossible to place custom light behind Clipping plane. And I really often need it a lot as I`m doing tiny rooms and clip walls with CP to have proper view. Is there a chance to add a feature of not being affected by clipping planes to Object Attributes?
pylon
Clipping planes should not affect lights. In the image below, the softbox light is clearly on the clipped side of the plane, and it is illuminating. If you have an example that demonstrates otherwise, please post it. On the other hand, formZ treats objects with emitter materials applied just like and other object, so they will be clipped. I agree that it would be great to have the option to exclude particular objects (and layers) from clipping planes, as this is often required for illustrations, and as you say it would also be useful for objects with emitter materials. This feature would have to come from AutoDesSys, though.
