Help with geometry

Hello,

can somebody tell me how to get a Paraboloid "exact" on a Zylinder?

and is there a way to do the same with an elipse?

you create the paraboloid first and then make the cylinder with the "Reshape" tool from the bottom face.

Hi Walter,

 

You can do as Volker suggests, or you can snap the Paraboloid to the center of the cylinder, then to the edge, and choose the desired height.  Then just move the paraboloid up.  

 

OR, you can draw a vertical line from the center of the top of the cylinder the desired height, snap to the top of that, snap to the edge of the cylinder twice (for the radius and then the height).
