cmick9
I am trying to create a projector based light source, I have tried using the projector light as well as making an emitter texture but neither are working. Can anyone give me the basics of setting up an image to be used for projection? Thanks
pylon
Did you try a Maxell Projector light (not the same as the renderzone Projector light)? You enter the bitmap texture, and point the light. Perhaps your exposure is off?
cmick9
I did use the new project light with a bitmap image but it doesn't project anything

cmick9
It says I'm not permitted to upload files???? I finally got an image to project but it is extremely faint.. what am I doing wrong??? Can I send files to •••@pylontechnical.com?
pylon
Hi Chris, The file you sent works fine. Your camera exposure is set for a daylight exterior, so a projector will appear dim, as it would in real life. You need to adjust your exposure: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/mxdocsv3/Camera
cmick9
My need is to project images in daylight conditions.... I'm projecting in a convention hall environment... not a dark room. Is there a way to boost projector lumens?
pylon
The hall should be enclosed, with openings for windows. This will allow you to open up the exposure significantly. The Projector intensity can be changed to 100000 if you type the number in. Alternately, you could model the projection screen (where the projection lands) and map it with an emitter MXM. etroxel
Or composite it in Photoshop after the fact... just as an alternative option.
